Tour Duration: AUGUST 10-24, 2020


Day 1, Mon Aug. 10 - Depart LAX OR NYC for Amsterdam 2:30 PM

Day 2, Tues, Aug. 11 - AMSTERDAM-NAIROBI - Arrive Amsterdam at 9 AM, connection @ 12:20 PM for Nairobi, arriving @ 9:50 PM. Transfer to Intercontinental hotel or similar

Day 3, Wed, Aug 12 - NAIROBI - City tour Nairobi, including the Bomas. Lunch at the Carnivore

Day 4, Thurs, Aug. 13 - NAIROBI - At leisure to explore on your own

Day 5, Fri, Aug. 14 - NAIROBI-MASAI MARA - After a short briefing depart (260 KM) to Masai Mara via the view-point of the western Great Rift Valley; arriving for check-in and lunch at the camp / lodge at 2:00 PM. You will start the first introduction game drive at 4 PM tracking various animal species and birds which inhabit here. Back to the camp / lodge at 06:30 PM. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

Day 6, Sat, Aug. 15 - MASAI MARA - This day you have an option to start with hot air balloon ride. A great opportunity to explore Masai Mara from a bird's eye view. Pickup time for this activity is 5:30 AM. The ride lasts 1 HR., Later continue with game drive in the park if you are not going for balloon ride your day starts with the breakfast at the camp/lodge and by 6:30 AM you'll leave for extensive game drive. Today you will see all the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Break for your lunch and rest at the camp / lodge at 1:00 PM. Game drive will continue from 4 PM till 6:30 PM. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

Day 7, Sun, Aug. 16 - MASAI MARA - LAKE NAIVASHA- NAIROBI Early breakfast and check out from the camp / lodge at 07:00 AM with game drive en-route while we exit the park. You have an option to visit the Maasai community before we leave to Nairobi. Note gratuities are given to Maasai people when you visit their village. Your lunch is served in Narok town at 12 PM. There will be a store where you can buy some souvenirs. Continue to Nairobi stop at Lake Naivasha, continue to Lake Nakuru N.P., often referred to as the “Pink Lake” because of flamingos. Evening arrival Nairobi, overnight

Day 8, Mon Aug. 17 - NAIROBI-MOMBASA - Leave Nairobi by highspeed rail to Mombasa, transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour Explore Mombasa’s colonial history, old town, and nature.

Day 09, Tues, Aug. 18 - MOMBASA - Continue tour, afternoon relax at the beach

Day 10, Wed, Aug. 19 - MOMBASA/ZANZIBAR - After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Arrival transfer to your hotel. Zanzibar is a fascinating living monument of the cultures & histories of East African, Arab, Indian, Persian, and European traders, and seafarers who conquered the Island at one time or the other. Transfer to hotel, and relax at the beach

Day 11, Thurs, Aug. 20 - STONE ISLAND - Is a captivating labyrinth of narrow streets & alleys. Lose yourself in the buzz of the markets. Stone Town, the cultural heart of the city has not changed in 200 years; winding alleys, bustling bazaars, a souvenir hunter’s delight. After breakfast Historic Stone Island tour walk along the narrowest streets in the world. Highlights include Darajani Market, a colorful market, cosmopolitan with a cross section of people from different parts of the world with a huge Arab influence in the buildings etc. Visit the ancient slave market, the church built in 1873, Sultan’s Palace, old fort, baths, traditional jewelry and native spas. After lunch return to your hotel or try out the traditional spas

Day 12, Fri, Aug. 21 - PRINCESS SALME SPICE TOUR-NUNGWI - You cannot leave Zanzibar without visiting a local spice plantation. The signature crop of Zanzibar, products include cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, breadfruit, vanilla, lemon grass etc. The legendary Princess Salme sent shockwaves through Zanzibar and remains unforgotten! Experience the famous Spice Island following her footsteps. Highlights include Moni Place ruins, board a Dhow to Salome’s Garden for the stunning Omain Mansion, visit the Palace Museum, enjoy a traditional coffee ceremony, then continue on the spice tour to Yusuff’s plantation where you will be treated to a scrumptious traditional Zanzibar lunch. After lunch continue your tour and return to your hotel

Day 13, Sat, Aug. 22 - ZANZIBAR-DAR ES SALAAM - After breakfast ferry ride to Dar es Salaam, transfer to hotel after city tour

Day 14, Sun, Aug. 23 - DAR-ES SALAAM TO LAX OR JFK Most of day at leisure. 11:20 PM departure to Amsterdam

Day 15, Mon. Aug. 24 - AMSTERDAM -LAX - 7:25 AM arrive Amsterdam connecting flight @ 9:50 AM arriving Lax @ 11:45 AM
