Day 1 - DAKAR - Transfer to your hotel. Rest of day to recover from your transatlantic flight.

Day 2 - DAKAR - After breakfast you’ll visit the Place de Independence, the President’s Palace, the Grande Mosque, with stops at the colorful Kermel market, the Soumbedioune arts and crafts market and the Ifan Museum. Lunch in a local restaurant serving Senegalese fare.

Day 3 - GOREE - After breakfast take a ferryboat to Goree Island. A powerful memorial to the resilience of enslaved Africans. A former enslaved holding fort, Goree played an important role in the history of the Americas. You wander the streets, visit the historic House of Slaves (Maison des Esclaves), and inspect the auction block and dungeons as our guide relates the history of the Island. Lunch at a seaside restaurant

Day 4 - DAKAR - Explore the night life of Dakar

Day 5 - PINK LAKE CAYAR - After breakfast, drive on a scenic route from Dakar to the mysterious Pink Lake; an incredible rose-colored body of water surrounded by sands and dunes. Stop for lunch and head for Cayar, a fishing village along the Atlantic coastline. Observe the fishermen bring in their afternoon haul in their painted pirogues. Donkey drawn buggies are the form of transportation in this quaint fishing village. Overnight Cayar

Day 6 - SALOUM ISLANDS - After breakfast, departure for Saloum Island. Enjoy a cruise In a dugout canoe Lunch. Late afternoon return to Dakar
